We’ve put together these frequently asked questions in hopes it will answer most if not all of your questions about our services and our properties. Our Emerald Coast vacation rentals are located around Okaloosa Island, Destin and Fort Walton Beach. Our vacation properties are spread throughout Okaloosa County and some are located within gated communities with a variety of amenities guests can use. Most of our properties are easily accessible from the main highways, while still being on or near the beach and/or golf courses. How old do you have to be to rent from Aqua Resort Rentals? 25 years old with a major credit card in your name. We have the right to deny renting to anyone that can’t prove they are 25 years or older. What are your rental policies? This link will take you to the page that lists all the details about our Rental Policies. You effectively agree to the terms in this agreement when booking a reservation with Aqua Resort Rentals. Aqua Resort Rentals Agreement and Policies Is the property I see on the Internet the one I get? Yes, unless an unavoidable problem arises, we rent the specific property you see in full detail on our website. We believe that this is the only way to ensure your complete satisfaction with your accommodation. Making a Reservation Online With the Aqua Resort Rentals online reservation system you are able to: • Make Reservations and Payments Online • Purchase Travel Guard Trip Insurance • Request an Early/Late Arrival and/or Departure Time If you have any questions about online reservations, please contact us at 1-800-643-7919. What is required to make a reservation? When you find the property of your choice you can either book the property online or call us at 1-800-643-7919. When making your reservation we require a 50% deposit. The remaining balance is processed 60 days prior to check-in. When is check-in & check-out time? Most properties will be available for check-in after 4:00 p.m. An early check-in can be coordinated for an additional fee. If the property has a check-out the day of your arrival we will not be able to coordinate an early check-in. Check out time is 10:00 a.m Are there any hidden or unnecessary charges? What other fees can I expect? No. We clearly itemize every charge required for each property on the ‘Book it Now’ page of the listing and document that the rental rate does not include tax, departure cleaning, security deposit or other optional services and charges. But you can review the exact fees required and any options or discounts available for each property by clicking the ‘Book it Now’ button on any property listing and using the reservations options screen to calculate totals. What are the departure procedures? The following items must be complied with before check out or Guest(s) authorizes their credit card to be charged accordingly: • Check-out time is 10:00 am. • Close the sliding doors • Shut all curtains/blinds • Remove and dispose of all perishables from the refrigerator • Empty the coffee maker and dispose of coffee grounds in trash can • Remove all trash from the kitchen and bathroom and dispose of in the trash chutes located near the elevators • Kitchen must be left clean! Please wipe counter surfaces before leaving • Dining table should be wiped clean • Place soiled dishes, glasses and silverware in dishwasher and turn on • Remove all personal belongings from closet and dresser drawers • Place all soiled towels in the bathtub of master bath • Strip bed linens and place on floor in front of washer/dryer • Do not launder comforters or pillow shams as these items are dry-cleaned • Turn off TV, stereo and all electronics • Please turn thermostat to 75 degrees • Turn off all lights • Make sure the door knob is locked when you leave and firmly pull the door closed. What does travel insurance do and why should I purchase it? Travel Insurance protects you for all the things that could happen to prevent, interrupt or delay you from taking your vacation. If you have to cancel your reservation for any reason it will cost you. Even the best-planned travel can be impacted by the unexpected. Illness...medical emergencies...severe weather...mechanical breakdown…..delayed flights…lost passports or luggage and even financial default. Troubles can occur when you least anticipate them forcing you to cancel or interrupt your trip, lose your vacation investment, and incur additional expenses. And when you're away from home, things like medical emergencies and illness are even more difficult to manage. Travel Insurance can give you the peace of mind that the unexpected is covered. You can opt to purchase the Travel Insurance with your reservation online. How will I receive my confirmation and arrival instructions from Aqua Resort Rentals? All confirmation and arrival instructions will be sent via email. To make certain you receive these emails, please adjust your spam filter to add the domain aquaresortrentals.com to your list of accepted email addresses. You will receive a reservation confirmation including directions and arrival instructions via email within minutes of making your reservation. If you have not received these emails, please contact us at 800-643-7919. Is there shopping nearby? Yes, there are many shops and restaurants within 3 miles of all of our properties. How many people are allowed to stay in each property? Occupancy may not exceed what is posted for each property. Maximum occupancy includes infants and children. Please check the occupancy information provided for the property you are interested in as several properties have lower maximum occupancies than what is stated below. The following outlines the general maximum occupancy for each property, unless otherwise posted: 1 bedrooms sleep maximum of 4 2 bedrooms sleep maximum of 6 3 bedrooms sleep maximum of 8 Is there a fully equipped kitchen in all vacation properties? Yes, every property has a fully equipped kitchen including: Refrigerator, stove, microwave, dishwasher, blender, coffee maker, toaster, pots & pans, dishes, glasses, silverware and cooking utensils, iron and ironing board, vacuum cleaner, broom, and dust pan. Is there a telephone in the vacation property? Yes, there is a telephone in every unit and all units offer free local calls. The telephone number to the property is given with your directions and arrival instructions. Are linens and towels provided? Yes, there are linens and towels provided in each property. Are the vacation properties cleaned daily? No, the vacation property is cleaned before your arrival and after your departure. You can request a Mid-stay Clean (if available) at an additional charge. A Mid-stay Clean includes: changing linens and towels, cleaning all bathrooms, kitchen area, vacuum and dusting, sweeping and mopping and refreshing your starter paper products. Are there cleaning supplies? Basic cleaning supplies are provided, and there is a washer/dryer, mop, broom, dustpan, vacuum, dishwasher, iron and ironing board in the property. There are starter paper products, however you will be responsible for replenishment thereafter. Are the properties Non-Smoking? Yes, all of our properties are strictly Non-Smoking. Are any of the properties “Pet Friendly”? No, we don’t allow pets in any of our units.
